Calyqen AI™ Privacy Policy

Version: 2026-09-09 Effective date: August 1, 2026 Last updated: September 9, 2026 Applies to: Calyqen AI™ BETA (web app at calyqen.com) Data controller: Property Sapiens LLC, 16131 Salto Del Agua, San Antonio, TX 78255, USA Contact: propertysapiens@gmail.com, or the Feedback page inside the app

BETA NOTICE: Calyqen AI™ is BETA software — Section 11 describes what that means for your data.

Calyqen AI™ ("Calyqen") helps you run your job search: it stores your resumes, builds a career profile from them, matches you to roles, drafts tailored versions for your review, and tracks applications. Resumes are personal — work history, education, contact details, sometimes salary expectations. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who else touches it, and what control you have.

The short version: we collect your account info, the resumes and career details you give us, your preferences, and your application activity. We use them only to run Calyqen for you. Your resume documents live in your own Google Drive, not locked inside our app. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, we never send your identity or resume to job boards, and our AI provider doesn't train on your data. You can delete everything, and deleting a resume file in your Drive removes it from the app too. And where practice is concerned: what stays is that things happened — what leaves is how you did.

1. Who we are

Calyqen AI™ is owned and operated by Property Sapiens LLC, a Texas limited liability company at 16131 Salto Del Agua, San Antonio, TX 78255, USA. Property Sapiens LLC is the data controller for the information described here, and "we" throughout this policy means Property Sapiens LLC.

Honesty about scale matters, so: we are a very small company without a dedicated data team, and in practice a single developer administers the database that holds your information. Your data is protected by the safeguards described below, but this is a beta, not a bank.

2. What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (basic profile only — never your contacts or Gmail). With email sign-up, your email address; passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never visible to us.

Resumes and documents. The resume files you upload or import (Word or PDF), the text we extract from them, tailored and reformatted versions the app generates, and format templates you upload for reformatting. Templates are used for the one reformat and not stored afterward. Resumes are rich personal data — upload only documents that are yours.

Career profile. Experience, education, skills, and related details extracted from your resume and edited by you.

Target roles and preferences. The roles you're aiming for, work-setup/relocation/travel preferences, and — if you choose to add it — your compensation target. Compensation is used only to score matches; it is never shown in generated documents or sent to employers.

Application activity. Roles you save or apply to, application statuses and dates, qualification questions and the answers you approve, and the resume version used for each application.

Offer letters you give us. If you paste or upload an offer letter, we read it, show you what it says, and draft the replies you ask for — and then it is gone. We do not store the letter, the file, the terms we read out of it, or the lines they were quoted from. Nothing of it that we hold outlasts the page. Two things do, and neither is your offer: the reply-by date, so we can remind you before it passes, and a record that you acknowledged what this feature is and isn't. A copy you choose to keep is a third thing, and it is yours rather than ours — download the summary, or save it to your own Google Drive, and that copy lives with you. We keep no copy of it and no record of what it said, and deleting the application here will not reach it. A file saved to your Drive is one Calyqen created, so the drive.file scope described below can still see it — we do not go and read it, and if you would rather that were impossible, delete it there and it is gone. Come back with the letter any time and we will read it again.

Google Drive connection. If you connect Drive, we store the OAuth tokens needed to act on your behalf, limited to the per-file drive.file scope. Calyqen can only see files it created for you or files you explicitly picked in the Drive picker — never the rest of your Drive, and never your Gmail, contacts, or calendar. The files Calyqen creates there are yours — resume documents, archived practice feedback, and an offer summary if you ask for one: rename, move, or delete them as you like. Alongside the tokens we keep two small operational facts about the connection — which permissions Google actually granted (Google's consent screen lets you tick the Drive permission off while still signing in, and we need to know when that happened so we can ask again instead of failing quietly every time), and the most recent Drive error, if there was one, so a connection that has stopped working can be spotted and repaired rather than silently doing nothing.

Practice sessions. While a practice session is open, the conversation is stored so you can close the tab and come back to it. When the session ends the conversation is deleted and only Caly's feedback remains. Section 8 sets out the full timeline, including what happens after 30 days and the small reference we keep to a file that has been archived to your Drive.

Feedback. Anything you send through the Feedback page.

Technical basics. Session cookies to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated by our hosting provider. We do not run advertising trackers.

3. Google user data (the part Google requires us to spell out)

Calyqen's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: Drive access is limited to files Calyqen creates or you pick; we use that access only to save, read, and organize the documents Calyqen prepared for you, saved at your direction; we don't transfer Google user data to third parties except the service providers below as needed to run the app; we do not use it to train AI models, and under the API terms we use our AI provider does not train its models on it either; we never use it for advertising; and no humans read it except with your permission, for security, to comply with law, or as needed to operate the service (e.g., debugging an issue you report). You can revoke access anytime at Google Account → Security → Third-party access.

4. What we do NOT collect or do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
  • We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
  • We do not send your name, resume, or any identifying information to job boards or employers. Job searches (including USAJOBS) send only search keywords derived from your target roles — the postings come to us, not the other way around.
  • We do not submit applications on your behalf and never contact employers about you.
  • We do not use your data to train AI models — and under the API terms we use, our AI provider (Anthropic) does not train its models on this data either.
  • We never knowingly collect information from anyone under 14, and children under 13 may not use Calyqen at all. Users under 18 may use Calyqen with a parent or guardian's permission — Section 10 explains how we treat their data, and how it differs for our youngest users.
  • We do not keep any part of an offer letter you give us — not the file, not its text, and not the terms we read out of it.

5. How we use your information

  • To run Calyqen's features: extracting and organizing your career profile, finding and scoring matching roles, generating tailored and reformatted resume versions for your review, answering qualification questions with you, reading an offer letter back to you, saving documents to your Drive at your request, and sending the reminders and notifications you've enabled
  • To fix problems: reading logs and, where necessary to resolve a support issue you raise, looking at the specific data involved
  • To communicate with you about the beta (changes, or asking for feedback)
  • To keep the service secure, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse
  • To show you what an offer letter says while you are reading it with us, to point out what it does not say, and to draft the reply you choose to send. Nothing read from a letter is stored, and none of it is used to match you to roles

6. Who else touches your data (service providers)

ProviderRoleWhat they handle
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, file storageAccount info, resumes and extracted text, profile, applications (US data centers)
VercelWeb hostingServes the app; standard server logs incl. IP addresses
GoogleSign-in, Drive & Docs APIsConfirms your identity; stores the documents Calyqen writes for you — resumes, and an offer summary you ask to save — in your Drive at your direction

ResendEmail deliveryYour email address and the contents of reminders/notifications
USAJOBS & public job boardsJob data sourcesReceive only search keywords — never your identity or documents

Each provider is bound by its own security and privacy commitments. We chose them in part because they publish those commitments clearly.

7. How your data is protected

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere) and at rest by our database provider. Accounts are isolated: the app's database rules (row-level security) are designed so each user can access only their own records. Google tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to your browser or other users. Access to the production database is limited to the developer.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you promptly at the email on your account and describe what happened and what we're doing about it.

8. How long we keep it

What stays is that things happened. What leaves is how you did.

The operational record of a job search stays in Calyqen, because the product cannot do its job without it: which roles you applied for, when you interviewed, your resumes, the examples you've saved. Judgements about how you performed, and every word said in a practice conversation, end up in your custody rather than ours — your Google Drive or your inbox, not our database.

In general. Your data stays as long as your account is active. Delete a resume in the app and its records go with it. Delete a Calyqen-created file in your Google Drive and the app removes its copy too — your Drive is the source of truth. Uploaded format templates are discarded after the reformat completes. If you delete your account, everything — resumes, profile, applications, preferences, and stored Google tokens — is deleted; ask us and we'll confirm within 30 days, except minimal records we're legally required to keep, if any. Files in your own Google Drive are yours and remain until you delete them there.

Offer letters. Nothing from the letter is kept, so there is nothing to expire: not the file, not its text, not the terms. What remains after the visit is the reply-by date on the application, which goes when you delete that application or your account, and the record that you gave the acknowledgement, which goes with your account.

Practice sessions. Practising with Caly is temporary on purpose:

  • The conversation itself is not kept. When a practice session ends, the back-and-forth is deleted. What remains is Caly's feedback on that session — what worked, what's worth rehearsing again, and the strongest phrasings you used.
  • A session you never finish clears itself. Start a session and leave it, and after 7 days of inactivity it is deleted, conversation included.
  • The feedback is kept for 30 days from your last activity on it. After that it is removed from Calyqen and delivered to you: filed as a document in your own Google Drive, or attached to an email if Drive isn't connected.
  • "Removed from Calyqen" means exactly that, and no more. It does not mean every copy everywhere has ceased to exist — your copy exists by design, in your Drive or your inbox, and routine database backups persist for a limited period before rotating out. We would rather be accurate than sound more absolute than we are.
  • Afterwards we keep only a reference to the file — which application and company it belonged to, when it was archived, and the identifier of the file in your Drive. No conversation, no feedback text, no assessment of you. Its only purpose is so Caly can offer to fetch it back if you return to practise for the same role.

When you come back to practise again. Caly is built to pick up where you left off rather than start cold, and how she does that depends on where your feedback is:

  • Within the 30 days, feedback from your earlier sessions for the same application — or for the same company — informs the new session automatically, so she can start on what tripped you up last time.
  • After the 30 days, she asks first, every time. She offers to fetch the archived file from your Drive, and only fetches it if you say yes. What comes back is used for that one conversation and is not written back into Calyqen. There is no setting that grants this in advance, and declining once has no effect on being asked again another day.
  • If you deleted the file, nothing is retrieved and nothing is reconstructed from any other source. Deleted is deleted: Caly starts fresh and does not refer to what she can't find.
  • Your saved examples and career profile are different, deliberately. The examples you build up while practising (your story bank) and your career profile are working material you reuse across applications — not a record of how a session went. They are not subject to the 30-day rule, and they stay until you edit or delete them.

9. Your choices and rights

  • See and edit: everything you've added is visible and editable in the app.
  • Export: your documents are already in your own Drive in standard formats; for everything else, ask and we'll send you a copy in a common format.
  • Delete: delete individual resumes in the app or in your Drive; delete your account entirely; or contact us and we'll do it for you.
  • Closing your account yourself. You do not need to ask us. Settings → Account has a Delete your account control that removes the account and everything in it — resumes, career profile, applications, interviews, practice feedback, notification settings, and the stored Google tokens. It is permanent: we keep no copy, there is no restore and no undo, and no waiting period during which we could put it back. Before anything is deleted we email the address on the account a copy of your work — your resumes as Word files, and one document holding your applications, interviews, and practice feedback — because afterwards none of it can be reconstructed. That email is then the only copy; we do not keep one and cannot resend it. If the send fails, the deletion still goes ahead: your decision to close your account does not depend on our email reaching an inbox, and we record the failure so we can tell you what happened if you ask. Files already in your own Google Drive are yours and stay there. Starting again later means a new account, which begins empty.
  • Notifications: you control which reminders are on in Settings; every email includes a way to stop them.
  • Google access: revoke Calyqen's Drive access anytime in your Google Account settings.
  • Archived practice files: they are ordinary files in your Drive — rename, move, or delete them freely. Delete one and the reference Calyqen kept to it goes too, the first time we look for it.
  • Compensation privacy: the compensation field is optional, and you can clear it anytime.

Texas residents: the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act provides rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal data, and to appeal a refused request. Property Sapiens LLC is the controller for the purposes of that Act. Regardless of where you live, contact us and we will honor these requests for any beta user.

10. Young people (users under 18)

Calyqen was built by a student, and younger job seekers looking for a first job or internship are welcome — with guardrails:

  • Minimum age 14. Children under 13 may never use Calyqen (federal COPPA rules), and we do not knowingly keep an account for anyone under 14. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 14, we delete the account and its data.
  • Parent or guardian permission. Anyone under 18 may use Calyqen only with the permission of a parent, guardian, or another responsible adult, as stated in the Terms of Use. At signup they name that adult, and we send the adult a single email with a private link to confirm. We store the adult's name and email address, when the young person told us they'd been informed, when our email went out, and when the adult confirmed or declined — the consent record the law expects us to keep. What happens while we wait depends on age:
    • 16 and 17. The account stays fully usable for 7 days; after that it becomes read-only (everything remains viewable and exportable, nothing is deleted) until the adult confirms.
    • 14 and 15. The account does not open until the adult confirms. There is no 7-day period — nothing is built and nothing is stored beyond the signup details and the consent record until we have that answer, and confirming makes the whole account available at once.
  • Job matching, and why our youngest users don't get it. We do not show sourced job listings — postings Calyqen gathers from job boards — to users aged 14 or 15. No matches, no job search, no job alerts, and no listing pages. This is a commitment we are choosing to make: federal and state child labor rules limit what that age group may lawfully work, down to which occupations and how many hours, and we cannot reliably check thousands of live postings against those rules. Rather than guess posting by posting, we show none of them. It also means we don't collect the information that only exists to aim job matching: no target job titles, no work-setup, relocation, travel, or industry preferences, no search location, and — the one that matters most — no pay or salary expectation. Everything else in Calyqen works normally for them, and they can track and get full help with a job they found themselves: resume tailoring, applications, interview preparation, practice interviews, follow-ups, and the offer reader. When they are old enough, job matching turns on by itself and the preferences above are asked for the first time then.
  • What we store about age. For adults: only that the account holder said they are 18 or over, and when. For under-18s: the birth year, and the month only when the year alone couldn't settle it — there are now two lines a year might not settle, the minimum age and the age at which job matching begins, so the month is asked in either of those two years and in no other. A year rather than an age, so nobody is re-asked annually: a 17-year-old simply ages into 18, and a 15-year-old into job matching. Age information never appears on any profile and is never shared.
  • If someone is under 14. We close the account and delete its data right away. The only thing we keep is a one-way cryptographic hash of the email address — not the address itself, and not the age — so a repeat signup with the same address meets the same answer.
  • Same minimal data, nothing extra. We collect the same information from a young person as from anyone else — resume content they choose to provide, a career profile, and job preferences — and nothing more; for 14- and 15-year-olds it is less, as described above. The compensation field is optional for everyone and can simply be left blank, and it is not asked of 14- and 15-year-olds at all.
  • Never sold, never advertised. We do not sell anyone's personal data or use it for targeted advertising — and that is doubly firm for minors. No ads, no advertising trackers, no data brokers, for any user of any age.
  • Parents and guardians can act. The confirmation email itself carries a private link that, for 30 days, lets the named adult review a summary of what the account holds or delete the account and all its data — no back-and-forth needed, because the young person named that adult themselves. After the link expires, or for any other request, a parent or guardian can contact us (details in Section 13) to review, correct, or delete; we'll verify the relationship and honor the request within 30 days.
  • What a guardian deletion does. It removes the account and everything in it: resumes, career profile, applications, interviews, practice feedback, notification settings, and the stored Google tokens. It is permanent. We keep no copy, there is no restore, no undo, and no waiting period during which we could put it back. The young person is not asked first and cannot refuse — the adult they named holds that right — and the deletion proceeds even where the two of them disagree. Files already in the young person's own Google Drive are theirs and stay there; we only remove our side.
  • The young person receives their work first. Before we delete anything, we email the address on the account a copy of what they made: their resumes as Word files, and one document holding their applications, interviews, and practice feedback. We send it while the account still exists, because afterwards none of it can be reconstructed. That email is then the only copy — we do not keep one, and we cannot resend it. If the send fails, or the address no longer accepts mail, the deletion still goes ahead: a guardian's right to close their child's account does not depend on our email reaching an inbox. We record that the delivery failed, so we can tell you what happened if you ask.
  • Starting again is a new account, not a restoration. A deleted account cannot be reopened, and we do not block the email address from signing up again — but a new signup produces an empty account. No resumes, no applications, no history, nothing carried across, and no way for us to bring any of it back. If the person is still under 18, the parent-or-guardian confirmation described above starts over from the beginning. The one address we turn away is the under-14 case described above, where the one-way hash makes a repeat attempt meet the same answer.

11. Beta-specific realities

Calyqen is pre-release software. Features change, and occasionally bugs happen. Two honest implications: (1) if a bug affects data, we may need to inspect the affected records to fix it; (2) when the beta ends or major versions change, we may migrate your data to the new version — your data comes with you, this policy still applies.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in ways that matter (new data types, new providers, ads, paid plans), we'll email the address on your account before the change takes effect and note the new effective date here. Continuing to use Calyqen after a change means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact

Questions, privacy requests, or concerns:

Property Sapiens LLC 16131 Salto Del Agua San Antonio, TX 78255, USA propertysapiens@gmail.com

The Feedback page inside the app reaches us just as well and is usually faster.

If you are not a Calyqen user and your information is here, see Section 14.

14. If you are not a Calyqen user and your information is here

People who use Calyqen sometimes save details about the person who will interview them — a name, a work email address, a professional biography they found on a company website. It helps them prepare for a specific conversation.

If that is you, and you would like it removed, email us at propertysapiens@gmail.com and tell us your name and, if you know it, the company. We will search for it and delete what we find, and we will write back to tell you what we did. We aim to do this within 30 days.

What we do not do: we never look anyone up automatically, and we never build a profile of you across different users. Your details are visible only to the one person who saved them. They are sent to our AI provider as background when that person prepares for the interview, in the same way as the rest of their application, and are not used to train any AI model. Details attached to an application are deleted when that application is deleted.
